Showcasing East Palo Alto

East Palo is a vibrant community, held together by a close network of neighbors, schools, small shops, and local organizations. This reality, however, is far cry from a dark reputation in the past. In the 80s and 90s, the town was more widely known as the murder capital of the Bay Area, marked by violence and gang organization.

The area is no longer as violent, but unfortunately its past has cast a shadow on the town’s many positive qualities.

A Go-To Resource for East Palo Alto

So we thought about how we could celebrate the many positive presences in East Palo Alto today.

We set up an easy-to-read website that lists all of the great restaurants, shops, and local companies that make East Palo Alto awesome.
